If there’s one thing you do when conducting business with clients, it’s making sure you leave your mark on the work you completed. The best and easiest way to accomplish this is to create your own letterhead. Your letterhead is a reflection of who you are as an entrepreneurial entity. Although it may be something very small in your branding kit; it is something that is a necessity.
I first realized I should develop one for myself when I started work on my project with Capchun Media. Inserting all my copy for their website in a nice and clean Lion’s ROAR Marketing document was definitely something I needed to accomplish in order to leave my mark.
In order to develop my letterhead, I took inspiration from the letterheads I use at my current job as Marketing Coordinator for a government contractor. I’m not an expert at graphic design but knew mimicking the simple design elements of these letterheads (shown below) would be just what Lion’s ROAR Marketing needs to look legit.
The basic elements of letterhead are:
- Company logo
- Company address and contact information
- Title/Document subject (optional depending on project)
- Thick black border to separate your header items
- A little creativity and professionalism
If you have any suggestions on what makes your letterhead special, please leave a comment. Let your ROAR be heard!
