So as you can see, on the right side of my blog is the tentative logo for ROAR Marketing. I worked with the extremely talented Lori Olson of Lorikeet Media who designed my logo for me. ROAR are my initials (Ryan Oliver Alexander Rosado) so I wanted to do something with a lion, which has always been kind of my symbol growing up.
Unknown to me, there is another ROAR Marketing located in the UK. To clarify whether this is an issue or not, I consulted my new attorney friend who works for the US Patent and Trademark Office. His personal opinion was that as long as ROAR Marketing circa UK does business only in the UK I should be fine. However, it is advisable to alter my logo with a different animal or use a more generic term. I’m still contemplating whether to change anything.
For now, I think I’m going to keep what I have since ROAR Marketing in the UK only does business in the UK. Sigh, what’s in a logo?
