Last Friday, in the 15 tranquil minutes during the work week, I was able to peal away from the office and visit the Courthouse in Alexandria to file my paperwork and buy Lion’s ROAR Marketing, the name. Back in October of last year, I had filed my “Certificate of Assumed or Fictitious Name” for what used to be ROAR Marketing. Refer to my previous post to read about the dilemma I faced when deciding on my business name.
However, I can officially say that I own the rights to any association with the name, Lion’s ROAR Marketing in the continental USA. Take a look at what your “Fictious Name Certificate” should look like if you are thinking about establishing your own business and make sure you pay a visit to your local courthouse.
*FYI, in the City of Alexandria, its costs $10.00 to file your certificate. A small price to pay for legitness.
