Two weeks ago, Lion’s ROAR Marketing officially signed on with DocType Media to provide copy-writing services. Thanks again to Freelance Switch, Lion’s ROAR Marketing was able to link up with DocType Media and solidify working arrangements. One of DocType Media’s websites, The 10 Most, is featuring an article written by Lion’s ROAR Marketing very own Ryan Rosado on “The 10 Best Sites to Snag Your WordPress Theme.” The article has officially gone live and can be viewed here.
So who exactly are DocType Media and The 10 Most? Well, I’m glad you asked. DocType Media is a web design firm located in Durham, North Carolina. Founded by Jan Waldeck, DocType Media aims to, “provide affordable, high quality web design services to non-profit organizations and small businesses.” Since 1996, DocType Media has worked with clients all over the world to meet the needs of smaller entities who are looking for quality website design without burning a hole in their pockets. This is DocType Media’s main value proposition. Very often the best of the best usually costs an arm and a leg limiting the small Ma and Pop shops from reaching their full potential (I completely understand this caveat). This caveat is minimized by companies like DocType Media who are looking out for the little man and helping provide the services they need in order to be successful.
A DocType Media blog, The 10 Most, is an extension of DocType Media. Lists are big these days in the social media world. This type of delivery method tends to rack up the greatest hits and exposure on the Internet while at the same time helping viewers receive the information they need efficiently. DocType Media’s The 10 Most, takes this concept and has developed it to communicate to people (especially “Geeks”) a continuous list of the 10 Most useful and effective online tools in the following categories:
- Code
- Design
- Entrepreneurship
- Freebies
- Internet
- Mobile
- Trends
As mentioned previously, I had the wonderful opportunity to contribute to the 10 Most and publish an article on WordPress Themes. I used my previous experiences in scouting for WordPress Themes and applied it to my writing. Finding the right theme can be tedious but hopefully from the resources I researched, finding the right theme will require less hair being pulled out of your head.
