I have a confession to make. I’ve been cheating on blogging with writing features for the Washington Blade. I know, I’m awful but who can resist having their name in print for thousands around the Washington Metropolitan area to read?
With that said, a little about my latest features for the Blade. The first came out last Friday and talks about upcoming music being released this spring. Click here to read. The second was published in December and served as a last minute gift-guide for the everyday gift buying procrastinator (which basically is everyone). Click here to read.
The latter was especially an interesting learning experience for me as I had to hit the streets with Blade photographer, Michael Key, going from store to store to chat with shop managers about what’s been selling the most that holiday season. At the same time, I have to say it was the most rewarding of my journalism experiences.
